EVOLV GMP SUMMER RELEASE 2026

Renest Has Arrived

Inside of the nesting space, the all-new renest feature gives users a new tool to quickly and efficiently create new nests. Instead of starting from scratch, users can now select individual parts directly from existing nests and renest them. Users can now also post processes parts individually from either nests or renests – very handy for parts that get scrapped and need to be recut without requiring a new order.

Automated Lead-In/Lead-Outs

Users can now enter their own custom rules in the Evolv GMP database for when to apply leads based on factors like; material type, thickness, operation, and tooling. Furthermore, the lead rules are automatically applied and allow for adjusting parameters like:

  • Lead Style, Angle, Size, and Position
  • Lead Gap Size
  • Break Geometry like Lines and Arcs
  • Lead Rules for Outside or Inside Shapes and Tabs
  • Keeping manually added leads for customized parts

PDF and Excel Reporting

Evolv 2026 summer release is debuting automated PDF nest report generation. This much-awaited feature allows users to quickly generate nest reports in a format that can be shared across their organization easily. This will both close the information gap and bring stakeholders up to speed like never before.

Additionally, we’ve expanded and improved the automated excel spreadsheet reports functionality. These tweaks and additions should make generating, formatting and automating all types of reports even simpler.

Translation & Edit Mode Enhancements

Translation workflows have received meaningful upgrades this release through improved reading of native Inventor files (.ipt and .iam). Internal document metadata like names, materials, and custom iproperties is now associated directly to parts and can be associated with part properties in the Evolv part library.

Meanwhile, multiple changes have been made to help refine working inside the editing space, such as:

  • Setting dimensions via the TAB key
  • Fine-tuned scaling of part features
  • Improved responsiveness in part selection interfaces

Overall, these quality-of-life updates should streamline everyday user interactions; especially for both translation and editing-heavy workflows.

Geometry Handling & Process Automation Improvements

Evolv GMP has seen major upgrades to geometry handling especially; arc, spline, and ellipse reading and visualization and an increase to part tolerances in nesting this update.

By decreasing the number of entities around non-linear geometry, the overall time it takes to render shapes has sped up considerably.

Simultaneously, upstream improvements to process automation that allows users to now customize:

  • Sequence of parts in the nest and display
  • Position of lead-in line
  • Auto tooling for operations

These options allow users to better customize the output of their post-processors.

UI Improvements, Stability & Miscellaneous Fixes

Pinned locations for save/open dialog boxes have now been globally implemented—a massive time save when accessing frequently used folders and directories.

Beyond the larger features, the release cycle also delivered extensive backend stability improvements focused on database consistency, exception handling, workflow reliability, and file handling performance.

Additional miscellaneous fixes addressed issues involving mirrored text behavior, kerf inconsistencies, translation refresh behavior.
